For imperfect parents who want to help their kids progress
About Me & WellNuts Parents
Parenting is a journey like no other—full of love, challenges, resilience, and learning. When your child has additional needs—whether social, emotional, mental health-related, neurodivergence, trauma, or disability—that journey can feel even more complex, isolating, and overwhelming at times. I know this because I’ve lived it.
I’m a parent navigating this path alongside so many others, learning as I go, celebrating the small wins, and figuring out how to best support my children. Along the way, I’ve discovered that community is everything. That’s why, with myWellNuts Team we created WellNuts Parents—a space for parents and caregivers to connect, support each other, and share experiences without judgment.
This isn’t about a one-size-fits-all approach—because let’s be honest, what works for one family won’t necessarily work for another. Instead, this is a place where we embrace different abilities, strengths, and experiences. A place where we lift each other up, offer support, and remind ourselves that we are not alone.
I share what I’ve learned on my journey—lessons from lived experience, research, and conversations with other parents and professionals. But more than anything, I hope to learn from you. Together, we can navigate the complexities of raising children with additional needs and, most importantly, help them live their best lives.
Welcome to WellNuts Parents. We’re in this together. 💙
What You’ll Find Here
The information shared here is a combination of models, advice, and training I have come across over the years, blended with a fair amount of trial and error. Some of it comes from books, professional guidance, or formal learning. Other parts are things that seemed to work for me—things I think I’ve made up, but probably exist somewhere already!
At its core, WellNuts is about understanding how brains develop (and develop differently) and how we can best support our children so they can do their best and feel good about themselves. I am no guru—just a parent figuring things out as I go. And that’s why WellNuts isn’t just about what I’ve learned—it’s a place where we can learn from each other, both parents and professionals alike.
If you’re looking for a space to share, learn, and grow alongside others who get it, you’ve come to the right place.
